A FEW BEE FACTS…

Even though bees and humans are extremely different, our lives are more intertwined than you would think. They pollinate our fields, orchards, and gardens to provide nearly one-third of the food we eat. They bring simple sweetness to our lives. They are also amazing creatures! Did you know that one bee must travel roughly 3 times around the world just to make one pound of honey? Or that they communicate by dancing?

Sadly, they are facing serious threats, from pesticides to habitat loss, and need our help. As humans, we have a responsibility to help bees thrive in the world. A few steps that everybody can make in helping this happen are the following: plant more flowers, avoid pesticides and live greener. Bees have been producing honey the same way for over 150 million years, lets do our part to ensure they keep going for another 150 million more!
