Pu-erh Tea Brewing Guidelines Per Cup

A cup of Pu-erh tea is generally brewed within the following guidelines. For one cup of tea, use 1 level teaspoon or 2 grams of Pu-erh tea leaves per 8 fl oz of water. Heat the water to 205-212 degrees Fahrenheit, just below boiling. Pour the hot water over the tea leaves. Let the tea steep for 3-5 minutes. For a stronger brew, use more tea leaves, do not increase brew time, as this will increase bitterness. For those who like their tea strong, you can double the amount of Pu-erh tea leaves used to 2 teaspoons or 4 grams per 8 fl oz.
