USDA certified organic and OU kosher certified, it is grown in the finest region of India – the Assam region is known for some of the finest black tea in the world.
Camellia sinensis – Assam black tea comes from the plant Camellia sinensis, just like green, white, and oolong teas. What differentiates these teas is the level of oxidation, black being the most oxidized or “fermented.”
Variety of ways to enjoy – organic Assam black tea can be enjoyed as hot tea, iced tea, or to make kombucha tea. To enjoy as tea, steep 1 tsp of tea in boiling water for 3–5 minutes. To brew kombucha, use 2 tbsp per gallon of kombucha, steep for a minimum of 10 minutes in about 2 cups of hot water, then dilute with cool water until it reaches room temperature before adding your culture.
