Most widely available dispensing containers come equipped with a low-quality spigot made of plastic or cheap metal. When brewing kombucha, or dispensing anything acidic, it is important to use high-quality materials like 304 stainless steel that are corrosive-resistant and will not leech chemicals into the brew.

  • 1x Wide mouth (5/8”) Lead-free Stainless Steel Spigot with 90° ball valve for a secure seal
  • 2x Food-grade silicone washers
  • 2x Thin Stainless steel washers
  • Stainless Steel locking nut

Some spigots contain flow directors which create a smaller, splash-free flow. This is great feature for water or lemonade, but a REAL pain when brewing kombucha because the yeast clogs it up in no time.

This spigot is completely smooth inside, allowing the yeast to flow straight through without clogging up the opening.

Very pleased with this item! I ordered one to upgrade the plastic spigot on my continuous brew jar. It was shipped right away, was easy to install, fits perfectly as they described in the measured range and doesn’t leak. I feel great knowing that my spigot isn’t putting weird chemicals into my kombucha! I shopped around for this item and you can’t beat this price either. It feels high quality and was easy to switch into my jar. Thanks Fermentaholics!!
