Kombucha Heating Mat
This Kombucha Brewing and Fermentation Heating Mat is designed to keep your fermented products at the optimal temperature. This kombucha warming mat has a thermometer included.
Temperature control is the key to brewing consistently great Kombucha. Ideal temperature range for Kombucha is 75° and 85° F. Ideal temperature range for Jun Kombucha is 68° and 80° F.
Adhesive Temperature Gauge
Monitor the fermentation temperature by adhering the provided thermometer to the side of the fermenter and adjust the position of the pad as needed.
For maximum heat, wrap the heating pad around your brew vessel and secure the mat with the rubber band. If too hot, remove the rubber band and allow the mat to stand around your brewing vessel forming a wall of heat. If even less heat is needed, lay your heat mat on a stable dry surface and place your vessel on top of the mat.
Use this heat wrap year-round as the temperature fluctuates in your home.
Works even on large kombucha vessels9. Good heater. I’ve used it on 1 gallon jars of kombucha and it’s too powerful(a good thing) so I would leave it sitting loosely around the base of the jar and it worked well. Currently I have it heating a 10 gallon batch in my 15 gallon stainless steel brew kettle(bought specifically for kombucha brewing) and its holding the 10 gallons at a consistent 24c(75f). Pretty great considering how large of a batch this is. My house temp is 20c but 24 is the ideal temp so couldn’t be happier using it for my brew(ensuring quick and safe fermentation). I bought it when it was cheaper at around 25$CAD and I hope they will lower the price back to that in the future. Overall, I would definitely recommend this for both small and larger batches.
Great for Kombucha as well as Sourdough Starter. My kombucha has come out very well and I’ve used this most recently to keep my sourdough starter at the right temp.
It worked. Needed to heat up fermentation space and this with another mat combined with an Inkbird worked perfectly. Price is right!
Easy to use. These were great for my kombucha gallon jars. The cheap temperature Strips are useless but I can self monitor.
Works Well. This seems to be accurate in temperatureI found it to be on the high end of warm side so should be very useful in cold winter months. I have it looselyќ around my jar and its creating enough heat that temperature of my kombucha is at 82 -85 degrees range.
